Privacy Policy — Parking Radar

Parking Radar ("the App") is developed by Ikshana Solutions LLC ("we", "us", "our"). This Privacy Policy explains what information the App accesses, how it is used, and your choices regarding that information.

The short version: Parking Radar stores all of your parking data — locations, notes, photos, and timers — locally on your device. We do not operate servers that collect or store your personal data, and we do not sell or share your information with third parties for advertising or marketing purposes.

Information We Access

Location Data

Parking Radar uses your device's location (via Apple's Core Location framework) to:

• Show your current position on the in-app map
• Save the coordinates of where you parked when you tap "Park Here"
• Calculate distance and direction back to your parked vehicle ("Walk Back")
• Search for nearby parking garages and lots within your selected radius

Location access is used only while the App is open and in use in the foreground. Parking Radar does not track or collect your location in the background, and does not transmit your location to our servers, because we do not operate any servers that receive this data. Saved parking locations are stored only in the App's local database on your device.

Camera and Photos

Parking Radar uses your device's camera to let you:

• Take a photo of your parking spot (e.g., to remember the level or row)
• Take a photo of a posted parking sign, which the App reads on-device using Apple's Vision framework to help estimate posted time limits

Photos you take are stored locally on your device as part of your saved parking session and are not uploaded to any server operated by us. Text recognized from parking signs is processed entirely on your device and is not transmitted anywhere.

Notifications

If you set a parking meter timer, Parking Radar uses local notifications (via Apple's UserNotifications framework) to alert you before your meter expires. These notifications are scheduled and delivered entirely on your device and do not involve any external push notification service or server.

Motion and Fitness Data (Barometer)

Parking Radar may use your device's barometric altimeter (via Apple's Core Motion framework) to estimate which floor level you parked on in multi-level parking structures, and to help guide you back to the correct floor. This data is read directly from your device's sensors, stored locally with your parking session, and is not transmitted anywhere.

How We Use Information

All of the information described above is used solely to provide the App's core features to you — saving your parking location, helping you find your way back to your vehicle, and helping you find nearby parking. We do not use this information for advertising, analytics profiling, or any purpose beyond delivering these features within the App itself.

Data Storage and Security

Your parking sessions, notes, photos, and related data are stored locally on your device using Apple's SwiftData framework. This data remains on your device unless you delete the App or manually remove individual entries. We do not have access to this data, as it is never transmitted to us.

Third-Party Services

Parking Radar uses Apple's MapKit framework to display maps and to search for nearby parking locations. When you use the "Find Parking" feature, your search location is sent to Apple's Maps services in order to return nearby results, subject to Apple's own privacy policy. We do not operate or control this service, and it is not used for any purpose beyond displaying map results within the App.

Children's Privacy

Parking Radar is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Your Choices

You can control the App's access to location, camera, photos, and notifications at any time through your device's Settings app. Disabling a permission may limit or disable the related feature within the App. You can also delete individual parking sessions or all App data at any time by deleting the App from your device.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date.
